How To Quick Search Bash History 2.0

If you want to search your Bash history Ctrl+R comes pretty handy, but this tip, courtesy of coderwall, is even better: create a file named .inputrc in your home folder and paste the following lines into it:

"\e[A": history-search-backward
"\e[B": history-search-forward
set completion-ignore-case on

Reload Bash, then write the beginning of an already typed in command, press the up arrow, and enjoy!
